2012 Proclamations

For the fourth year in a row, President Barack Obama has issued a Presidential Proclamation declaring the nationwide recognition of National Public Lands Day. In addition, thirty-nine states and 84 cities and counties have produced their own proclamations or letters of support encouraging participation in the annual day of service.
The Presidential Proclamation states, "As we celebrate this National Public Lands Day, let us reflect on the lands and waters that so deeply enrich our experience, and let us renew our commitment to protecting them in the years to come."
