NPLD Partners with America's State Parks
The America's State Park initiative distributed a letter inviting state parks across the country to participate in NPLD.
America's State Parks is an initiative organized by the National Association of State Park Directors (NASPD) for the purpose of promoting state parks, conservation projects, funding opportunities and to help build relationships with the public and organizations. The America's State Parks website is one of the best places online to learn about state public lands.
Last year, over 130 state parks participated in NPLD. Thousands of dedicated volunteers removed invasive plants, cleaned up trash and restored historic sites. This year, NPLD is hoping for a record number of state park events thanks to the support of America's State Parks. The partnership has already proved fruitful with the release of a jointly produced memorandum titled, "Leveraging a Nationwide Event to Advance State Parks."
