Educational Resources
Whether as teachers, students, or adults a vast array of knowledge about natural resources can be found. In this section you can educate yourself (or others!) about the natural treasures that can be found right outside-in our public lands.
- Learn about the benefits of trees
- Bring nature inside: reading lists for all ages.
- Curriculum resources for teachers
- NEW Project Learning Tree® (PLT) creates Activities for NPLD
Gubernatorial Proclamations
The National Environmental Education Foundation solicits gubernatorial and mayoral proclamations designating Public Lands Day in their states. Forty governors issued proclamations in 2007 and we will again be seeking this recognition of the importance of our public lands in 2008. Site Managers often play a key role in helping secure proclamations
- Official Gubernatorial Proclamations:
- Gubernatorial Proclamation Language, 2008 [MSWord - 430k]
- Mayoral Proclamation Language 2008 [MSWord-430k]
