The February issue, titled "Get Outdoors with National Public Lands Day", features articles on the Recreation.gov, bats on public lands and the Case for Support webinar video. The site of the month is Portland Parks and Recreation Department's Forest Park Conservancy.

January 2012

The January issue, titled "NPLD Photo Contest Winners", features articles on the 2011 Photo Contest winners, the Planet Connect Wildlife Conservation Grants and Earth Gauge. The site of the month is New York's Allegany State Park.

December 2011

The December issue, titled "New NEEF Grant to Benefit Friends Groups", features articles on Toyota's $3 Million grant to NEEF in support of public lands, the 2011 Volunteer of the Year Award recipients, the 2012 Every Day Grants and Department of Defense sites in the Armed with Science blog. The site of the month took place in Tupelo, Miss. and was organized by Toyota volunteers.

November 2011

This issue, titled "NPLD Year in Review", features articles on NPLD's partners, the final 2011 statistics, the 2012 Every Day Grants and the Planet Connect Get Green Video Contest. The site of the month was the Nashville Clean Water Project at J. Percy Priest Lake.

October 2011

This issue, titled "Recognizing Our Volunteers", features articles on the Volunteer of the Year Awards, connecting with NPLD through social media and the annual Photo Contest.
