NPLD Near You


On September 28, 2013, more than 175,000 volunteers are expected to visit their favorite parks, beaches, wildlife preserves or forests and chip in to help improve these treasured places. They’ll be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of National Public Lands Day, the largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands in the United States.

Many of these activities will occur in your community; at places including local parks, state parks and Volunteers having fun on NPLD. community gardens. Places local residents and their friends enjoy year-round. National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is an opportunity to gather the community and have inviduals and families give back to their local lands. Projects will include volunteer-based events and recreational or educational activities.

At sites across the nation, we'll all be together and sharing the same experience by participating in NPLD. People are motivated and inspired because they are part of something BIG.
