Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park
Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park will host a morning volunteer project and a walk/tour in the afternoon. The volunteer project will be helping clear out an area near our Bell Carillon for a planned butterfly garden. The area was once a hemlock grove which needs to be cleaned and cleared before work can be done for a garden.
The walk/tour in the afternoon will look at the history behind the Bicentennial Capitol Mall and how it strives to preserve and educate visitors about Tennessee's natural and cultural resources. The tour will be approximately an hour long and will encircle the entire park.
Visitors wishing to aid in the volunteer project will need to call and/or sign up beforehand at Bicentennial Mall's Visitor Center, 615-741-5280.
