Bureau of Reclamation
The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) oversees dams, reservoirs, powerplants and canals in the western United States. The BOR provides 31 million Americans with water and its 58 hydroelectric powerplants produces 40 billion kilowatt hours of electricity. That is enough to power 3.5 million homes.

In 2011, the BOR had six sites participate in NPLD, including:
- New Melones Lake - Sonora, Calif.
- Nimbus Fish Hatchery - Gold River, Calif.
- Fishermen's Point Day Use Area - Shasta Lake, Calif.
- Lake Berryessa Recreation Area - Napa, Calif.
