State Parks
State park systems support NPLD by encouraging individual state parks to host events on NPLD.
In 2011, state park systems hosted 187 NPLD sites, which accounted for 9 percent of all NPLD sites. Of the state park sites, 53 percent of events were coordinated by Montana, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Tennessee and Washington. These five states each signed a Memorandum of Mutual Support (MMS) with NPLD.
If your state park would like to be more active in NPLD, the park system can also sign a Memorandum of Mutual Support with NPLD. Learn more about the NPLD - State Park MMS.
