NPLD Photo and Video Contest 2009
Calling All Shutterbugs and Videographers!
While planting trees, repairing trails and restoring shorelines on National Public Lands Day, don't forget to bring those cameras -- photo and video-- and take some great shots of your fellow volunteers.
Participate in our Ninth Annual "Volunteers in Action" Photo and Video Contest. This year, a new category for short videos has been created for those talented but undiscovered film directors out there.
The "Volunteers in Action" contest gives NPLD volunteers the opportunity to showcase their talent with the backdrop of our country's public lands. In addition to great prizes from Patagonia, entrants may have their work featured on our Web site, in promotional materials for NPLD 2010 and more.
So get those photo and video cameras out and get ready to take some great shots of volunteers at your National Public Lands Day event!
Here's how to participate:
1.) Read the full guidelines and rules about the photo and video contests.
2.) Every submitted photo and video must be accompanied by a mandatory Media Release Form. Download the Media Release Form here and take it with you during National Public Lands Day. The form must include the names and signatures of all people whose faces are identifiable in the photo or video as well as the name and signature of the photographer or videographer.
3.) Take photos and film your video during National Public Lands Day.
4.) When you are ready to submit your photos and/or videos, visit our photo submission page or video submission page. On the submission pages, you can upload your photos and follow directions to upload your videos on YouTube. You will also be asked to submit your name and contact information and to upload your signed Media Release Forms.
5.) Now you're all finished! Contest winners will be announced in December 2009. If you have any questions, contact the NPLD Program Coordinator at (202) 261-6478 or npld@neefusa.org.
No purchase necessary. All contest participants must be residents of the U.S. and meet all eligibility requirements. Void where prohibited.
